Last Saturday, Intua released BeatMaker 3 after several months of beta testing and developing. I was one of the beta tester and I had the idea to create 4 tutorials for the start of the app with different topics.

The first tutorial video goes about a new creative feature in BeatMaker 3. Inside the new version, musicians can sample any iOS app and AUv3 directly inside the sampler what gives users a endless amount of sampling possibilities. Check out here my tutorial where I sampled the Mersenne FM Synthesizer and the DM2 Drum Machine Synthesizer.
Another cool feature inside BeatMaker 3 is the full automation support of any parameter inside BM3 and AUv3 plugins. It’s btw the first DAW on iOS which support this feature in entirely. In this second tutorial, I loaded the Arturia iSEM Synthesizer as AUv3 and recorded a simple sequencer with several parameters automations. With this functionality, you can lent your song a more interesting and evolving character.
Since the first versions, one of the biggest and powerful features inside BeatMaker was the Sampler engine. Also in BM3, the Sampler engine becomes even more powerful and allows users to create complete instruments in just few minutes. In my third tutorial, I want to show how quick you can create a piano sequence just with a simple sample.
Last but not least, in my last BeatMaker 3 tutorial, I want to demonstrate how easy you can connect any MIDI controller via USB or Bluetooth to BM3. This is not all because I show you also how easy you can map every pad on a standard pad controller to the app.
I hope I could simplify the start with BeatMaker 3 with these tutorials. I can’t say yet if I will upload more tutorials in future because many other things must be covered currently. Subscribe to the channel and stay tuned for more videos about Hardware, Software and iOS products on the Synth Anatomy youtube channel.
