The French music shop Woodbrass has launched two Korg ARP deals with up to 27% discounts on the 2600M and Odyssey FS DIY kit.
Woodbrass is in the mood for a great summer sale. After I reported yesterday that French customers could get the Behringer UB-Xa for 999€, two other great deals are available to highlight. This time, they are also available to customers outside of France.
I called the Korg ARP deals because you can save up to 27% OFF on the 2600M and Odyssey FS DIY.
Korg ARP Deals
Woodbrass, the most prominent French music shop, has dropped the prices of these two replicas of legendary ARP synthesizers. This is especially significant when you consider what they cost at release. Two synths are on sale.
ARP 2600M
The first synth in the Korg ARP Deals is the ARP 2600M, an authentic replica of the ARP 2600 with additional functionality, including two filter types (4012/4072), a USB host port, and symmetric L/R outputs. Moreover, the Korg version is endorsed by the original developers and comes with a lovely ARP rolling case.
The ARP 2600M was launched in 2021 for 1799€. The price fell to 1369€ during Black Friday in November last year, but it has remained unchanged for a long time.
Woodbrass has now dropped the price of the ARP 2600M to a new best price of 999€. That’s a 27% price reduction, a lot for a hardware synth. In comparison, the Behringer 2600 replica cost 485€.
There is still a big difference, but it lacks the USB host, the rolling case, and a different format that I find catchier. In terms of sound, both are on a high level.
ARP Odyssey FS DIY
The second synth on sale is the ARP Odyssey FS DIY Kit, an authentic analog clone/replica of the original ARP Odyssey. This is the kit version, which requires you to assemble the synth yourself. Don’t panic; it’s as easy as assembling an Ikea Billy shelf.
Unlike Behringer, who included an effect processor, arpeggiator, and sequencer in their version, Korg opted for an almost 1:1 replica. The only major difference to the original is the option to choose one of the three different filters from the front panel.
The ARP Odyssey FS DIY was launched in 2023 with a hefty price tag of 1899€. Compared to the Behringer Odyssey, it was almost three times as much. To be honest, it wasn’t worth the price addon.
Today, the Odyssey FS DIY is hard to find and discontinued. Woodbrass still has a few in stock, but they are now selling at a significantly lower price. Instead of the last price of 1299€, you can now get it for 999€. That’s 23% OFF and almost 50% OFF the 2023 release price.
