Puremagnetik Goestcopy is a new wave modulation delay plugin for macOS and Windows that gives you unique distorted delays.

I have often reported on Micah Frank’s plugin company, Puremagnetik. They do something refreshingly different, which I really like. Instead of pumping plugins full of features, they offer an absolute minimum of parameters.

This makes them very hands-on and gives users a feel of classic guitar pedals. Goestcopy, the latest plugin, is a new, unique digital stereo delay for macOS and Windows.

Intriguing is Goestcopy’s core, consisting of distortion and delay. The distortion part hosts two individual waveshapers for each channel, designed for stereo distortion effects. You can use them in sync or offset mode for varied results.

From here, Goestcopy passes the signals through a series of delay effects. By combining waveshaping and delay modulation, you can achieve a detailed sound design that can significantly alter any audio you process.

Like all Puremagnetik plugins, Goestcopy also is very compact and offers a curated minimum of parameters that can do a sonic maximum. The follower parameters are available:

  • shape 1 & shape 2: control two separate waveshapers (stereo distortion)
  • edges: controls the shaping algorithm for adding subtle harmonics or completely slicing the tops of your incoming audio
  • energy: speed of the delay time modulation
  • aura: the delay modulation wave shape (a morphing oscillator from sawtooth to triangle to ramp waveforms)
  • goest: depth of the delay modulation
  • space: timing of the stereo delay line
  • fade: the number of stereo delay line repeats (feedback)

Further, it also hosts the jumble function that randomizes your preset.

Another lovely, hands-on FX plugin from Puremagnetik.

Important: You can keep every plugin after canceling the subscription. The plugin will become available without a sub in September for $25.
