Sinevibes TURBO is a new waveshaping oscillator for the multi-engine for the KORG Prologue 8 & 16 and shows how hard- & software developers can work together!

With the KORG Prologue one of my wishes in the field of Synthesizers came true. The built-in multi-engine allows not only hardware but also talented software developers to give new features to a Synthesizer. One of these companies is Sinevibes, which has long been developing Mac plugins that always have an innovative character. Now they have developed a new oscillator for the multi-engine, which brings the sound character of the Turbo plugin into the Prologue 8 and 16 Synthesizer.

It based on two since oscillators with five different waveshaping algorithms including a built-in filter and envelope. I really enjoy this new release because it shows nicely that companies can work together very nicely and that we can benefit from both hardware and software worlds. Would love to see more concept like the multi-engine that brings both music tech worlds more together.

Overview

Turbo is a variable waveshaping oscillator plugin for Korg’s multi engine. An original DSP technology developed at Sinevibes, Turbo uses a pair of sine oscillators coupled with special sine-based waveshapers to create truly unique, spectrally rich sounds with very distinct character.

Two sine oscillators with variable balance, frequency ratio and beating frequency.
Five different waveshaping algorithms with continuously variable curve complexity.
Built-in lag filters for noise-free, ultra-smooth parameter adjustment and modulation.
Built-in envelope generator with widely adjustable attack and decay times (1 ms to 10 s).
