Klevgrand Parrot is a creative audio repeater plugin for macOS, Windows, and now iPadOS that lets you explore unpredictability in sound.
Effects are great sound design tools. Using a chorus, delay, or reverb gives you a general idea of the sound direction.
It’s different when using more experimental effects like the Klevgrand Parrot, a creative audio repeater which is designed to do very unpredictable things with sounds.
Klevgrand Parrot
Parrot is a new audio repeater plugin for macOS, Windows, and iPadOS. Klevgrand incorporates many features from classic audio repeater plugins into Parrot.
It all starts with an input signal that Parrot needs to become active. From this, it creates rhythmic patterns by sampling small slices of incoming audio and repeating them in a sequenced loop. The sampled location/slice can be precisely determined in the plugin.
For example, you can set the step amount, the sequencer note value (1 bar, 1/1 t…), change the direction, add variation or humanize the sequence.
The result can then be further shaped with controls such as loop length, pitch, variation, dynamics, and filtering. Each slice becomes part of a loop that keeps reshaping itself as you adjust parameters, making patterns that feel alive.
The great thing about a repeater plugin like this is that the changes happen instantly. It reacts strongly to small changes, so even minor tweaks, such as changes in pitch or loop length, can introduce new pulses, stutters, or harmonic shifts.
Mangling In Sync
You can also hold a loop. But it’s definitely more fun to experiment with it and turn loops into evolving, broken, and glitchy textures. Both can be free-running or synced with your DAW, so they slot neatly into structured productions.
It also comes with a separate dry-signal filter, mute/solo options during sampling, and handy lock parameters for save preset-switching.
Klevgrand says that Parrot will help your next dance-floor hit or add that extra je ne sais quoi of flavour to your mix. The results range from subtle beat variation or harmonic accents to hefty glitch mayhem.
The plugin comes with numerous presets that let you have instant fun and embark on an exploration.

An exciting audio repeater with a very intuitive interface that lets you explore the unexpected and unpredictable in sound. I’m happy to see there’s now an iPadOS version.
Klevgrand Parrot is available now for $49,99. It runs as a VST3, AU, and AAX plugin on macOS (native Apple Silicon + Intel) and Windows.
The iPadOS version is out now for an introductory price of $8,99 instead of $14,99 until March 28, 2026, on the Apple AppStore.
