HoRNet FilterSolo, a multi-mode filter plugin with built-in modulation is a free download only on Black Friday (24 hours).
Many of the free plugins for Black Friday are filters: Air Filterbank and Newfangled Audio Obliterate. One more if you add the Apple Silicon update for Ohmforce Frohmager. There’s now a fourth because you can never have enough filter plugins.
Today, on Black Friday, you can download the HoRNet FilterSolo plugin for free.
HoRNet FilterSolo
FilterSolo is a classic multi-mode resonant filter plugin for macOS and Windows. It offers lowpass, highpass, bandpass, and band stop types with selectable 12dB/octave or 24dB/octave slopes. The filters’ frequencies range from 20Hz to 20000Hz.
According to HoRNet, FilterSolo’s filters are based on analog emulations. You can tweak them manually with cutoff and resonance controls. However, you can also automate the filter.
FilterSolo hosts built-in modulators, two independent envelope followers, and two multi-wave LFOs with tempo sync. Nice: You can modulate both the cutoff and resonance positively and negatively with a dedicated envelope and LFO, which gives you much flexibility.
Further, you can find a modeled analog saturation and hiss parameters to add more character to the filtering process.
First Impression
A nice gift from HoRNet Plugins on Black Friday. It’s a shame, though, that it’s only for 24 hours, and there is no native Apple Silicon support. I hope the plugin will get support shortly.
HoRNet FilterSolo is available for FREE only today, Black Friday, using the code FILTERFREE at checkout. Usually, it’s 11:59 PM (CET). It runs as a VST, VST3, AU, and AAX plugin on macOS (Intel, native Apple Silicon not supported) and Windows.
In case you missed the chance to get the plugin for free, it’s available for 3,58€ in their Black Friday sale.
