Industrial designer Love Hultén has created a custom Tasty Chips Electronics GR-Mega granular Synthesizer with a built-in Keystep keyboard.
Since this summer, the new GR-MEGA from Tasty Chips Electronics has been delivered to the first pre-orderers. It’s a powerful multi-timbral, multi-engine granular Synthesizer.
One of the customers only had his GR-MEGA for a short time. Then the device went to the industrial designer Love Hulté,n who turned it into a new looking instrument.
Love Hultén Tasty Chips Electronics GR-MEGA
For the unknown client, Love Hulten transformed the GR-MEGA from a desktop into a keyboard synth. He paired the GR-Mega with the original Arturia Keystep and gave them a wooden frame. He also made the GR-MEGA swivelable à la Moog Minimoog.
It is not the most extensive and beautiful project he has done so far, but it’s great to see the GR-Mega as a pseudo-keyboard version.
As a reminder: GR-MEGA is a desktop multi-timbral granular and spectral Synthesizer with five powerful synth engines: granular, tape, granular slice, sampler, and spectral (phase vocoder).
It has four layers of multi-timbral support, up to 20 voices per layer, and other mighty features, including rich modulation, a polyphonic sequencer per layer, effects, and more.
The new batch for the Tasty Chips Electronics GR-MEGA is available now for pre-order 1500€ + VAT. The Love Hultén modifications are on demand.
