At SynthFest UK 2024, Analogue Solutions unveiled the TC5000, a new pin matrix modular Synthesizer inspired by the legendary ARP 2500.
Today, SynthFest UK 2024 takes place in Sheffield, with many British and international manufacturers. Of course, Tom Carpenter from Analogue Solutions, with his particular fondness for monster synthesizers, is also there with a booth and an epic surprise.
Today, he presented the TC5000, another monster Synthesizer based on the legendary, super rare ARP 2500.
Analogue Solutions TC5000
TC5000 is a new pin matrix Synthesizer that looks like an ARP 2500 clone or replica, but it isn’t.
According to Analogue Solutions, it utilizes its own circuits, where some are adapted from their other synthesizers, like the Leipzig, Telemark, and Fusebox. On top of that, you can find some new designs specially designed for this new monster synth.
It is not a 2500 clone, but the workflow comes from it. It features two full-width patch pin matrix panels that provide the same kind of UI experience that made ARP 2500 so unique. A similar approach as they took with the Colosus, which also looks like a VCS3 on steroids but isn’t a remake.
The entire feature list of the Analogue Solution TC5000 is unknown, but you can see some modules in the pictures. So, you get
- MIDI interface
- three oscillators,
- two filters,
- clocked sequential control
- dual noise/random voltage generator
- two dual envelopes
- preset voltage.
- a S&H random voltage
- sequencer
- output module.
Even if it is not an ARP 2500 replica, the modules are very inspired by the original.
First Impression
An epic new Synthesizer from Analogue Solutions. It’s, of course, completely out of my price range, but it’s nice that such synthesizers are being developed and are coming onto the market.
The Analogue Solutions TC5000 is available now to pre-order, priced at 22,000 GBP (exc. tax and shipping), with shipping expected towards the end of 2024.

Amazing, £22,000 for some drone sounds.
