Knobcon 24, the 12th edition of the Chicago synth event, takes place this week; here is the last-minute information you need to know.
Much of the fascination with synthesizers has moved into the digital world of YouTube, Instagram, etc. However, synth events are much more cozy and more pleasant, where you can meet people in real life and talk to them about their favorite topics.
Knobcon, one of these great international Synthesizer meetings and shows, is taking place this weekend in Chicagoland (US). For those who decide at short notice, here is the most important information at a glance.
Knobcon 24
It’s September again, and the Synthesizer autumn season is ushered in with the Knobcon. It will again take place for three days at the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg. As always, the Suit & Tie Guy and his team organize the event.
Today, Friday, it starts classically with a reception for the developers and a big party night. On Saturday, the synthesizer fair, then, begins with many developers, including:
1010music, 4ms Company, Analogue Solutions, Bastl Instruments, Bjooks, Circuit Happy, EarthQuaker Devices, Frequency Central, GS Music, Infrasonic Audio, JoMoX, Melbourne Instruments, Noise Engineering, Novation, Oberheim, Sequential, VCV, and many more.
You can also join lovely DIY workshops (AI Synthesis), hangouts and concerts throughout the day on Knobcon 24. On Saturday evening, there will be various concerts with synth acts in three rooms: Glacial23, Surco, WFXR (RMM + Fess Grandiose), Moog Lee, Meridian Alpha…
Knobcon 24 (number twelve) will take place from 6 to 8 September in the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg hotel in Chicagoland (US). So it starts today! The three-day pass costs $75.
