Syntronik 2 MAX v2 is a Synthesizer virtual instrument for macOS and Windows. It’s not a classic synth plugin. It’s based on multi-sample-based sound sources that are embedded in a Synthesizer engine.
For this content, IK Multimedia multi-sampled 55 legendary synthesizers and packed them into 34 Syntronik instruments. It includes raw oscillator sounds from various vintage synths: Yamaha (CS-80, GX-1, CS-01…) Oberheim (SEM, OB-X, OB-Xa), string machines, Polymoog, Juno/Jupiter, and more.
The IK team crafted from them 34 Syntronik instruments with over 5000 ready-to-use patches.
The engine can load up to 4 parts with sound splitting, etc. Each part has 4 oscillators each powered by the multi-sample content. Plus, you get two sub-oscillators per part.
Then, you can tweak these oscillators with classic synth features. With IK’s DRIFT technology, you can add analog vibes to your patches. It varies the phase, color and pitch of the sampled oscillators to keep them moving just like the real analog oscillators do.
It hosts a filter section that features analog-modeled filter models: Ladder, Roland’s IR3109 chip, Curtis CEM3320, and Oberheim SEM SVF. Besides this, it comes with digital filters like the Formant and phase filters. Envelopes and LFOs are available on the modulation side.
A mighty feature is the multi-effects section that features 71 high-quality effects derived from T-RackS, MixBox, and AmpliTube. It includes reverbs, delays, distortions, and more with which you can refine your Syntronik instrument.
Lastly, you get a powerful, dynamic note and chord arpeggiator an step sequencer per part. It allows you to build complex rhythmic textures and sequences with extreme ease and inspiring effectiveness.
