GForce Software has introduced a free update 1.6 for its Oberheim SEM Synthesizer plugin emulation, introducing a new authentic GUI.
Last year, the British developers at GForce Software expanded their portfolio with the Oberheim SEM. It is an authentic emulation of Tom Oberheim’s legendary monophonic synth. Unlike other SEM emulations, this version is fully endorsed and can bear the original name.
The new free version 1.6 also transfers the official endorsement to the GUI.

Oberheim SEM 1.6 is a free update that introduces a complete GUI overhaul. Version 1.0 featured a very flat design that was not 100% identical to the original. That changes with version 1.6. Now you have the impression that you are using the original as it has the same layout, etc. Everything else (engine…) stays the same.
Gforce’s Oberheim SEM was originally released to coincide with Tom Oberheim’s birthday in July last year on the back of the multi-award-winning and officially endorsed Oberheim OB-E, released a few months earlier.
It got several awards for itself and was updated with their new powerful and intuitive browser earlier this year. Now, the new graphic interface significantly improves the experience, giving you the feeling of having a real Oberheim SEM right in front of you.
