UK-based developer Busy Circuits has introduced the ALM036 TAZM-O, a new analog-through-zero analog oscillator for Eurorack.
It’s been quiet here on the site for a few days. That was because I was at SynthFest France 2023 in Nantes for the last few days. I will publish in the next days many videos about new synths from big and smaller brands stay tuned.
In the meantime, I have something new for you. I’m currently on the train to Paris and got the news that Busy Circuits from the UK has an interesting new analog oscillator.
Busy Circuits ALM036 TAZM-O
The ALM036 TAZM-O is a new 12HP analog triangle core oscillator with thru-zero frequency modulation and some of the companies’ favorite features of classic oscillator designs.
It includes a continuous morphing wave/pulse width shape control inspired by the Serge NTO, and dual SH-101 style varied pulse sub-octave outputs. Then, you can explore a voltage-controlled FM index typically found in larger complex oscillators, and a built-in output level VCA. There is also a voltage-controlled octave transposition similar to the multipliers found on Akemie’s Castle digital FM VCO.

First Impression
At first glance an exciting oscillator with many functions that are known from larger modules. With 10HP it is even very compact and offers a lot.
