Noise Engineering Plugin Bundle 2 with two new synths and an effect made for traveling into the wild, experimental side of sound design.
There are hardware and software developers. Some plugin manufacturers dare to take the step and design hardware devices such as Arturia. Few go the other way. A nice example of this shows Noise Engineering. The US-based company, led by Stephen McCaul and Kris Kaiser, has made a name for itself with innovative, exceptional Eurorack modules.
They caused a big surprise when they released their first plugins in 2021. Today the journey continues with three more fascinating plugins that will enrich your DAW with novel sounds.
Noise Engineering Plugin Bundle 2
Plugin Bundle 2 is a new package with three new plugins, two new wild synths Loquelic Vereor & Manis Iteritas, and a delay with an experimental character called Imitor. All three plugins have codes that premiered in hardware as a Eurorack module.
Loquelic Vereor
Loquelic Vereor is a complex Synthesizer that hosts three classic synthesis algorithms (VOSIM, phase modulation summation synthesis) known from the Loquelic Iteritas Eurorack oscillator module.
At its core are two super flexible oscillators that modulate each other that generate extraordinary timbres. NE goes so far as promises timbres that have never been heard in the DAW before.
The synth also has a filter, as well as an extensive modulation system, including flexible LFOs, envelopes, and step sequencers. For more variety and a unique human vibe, the modulators also have adjustable randomization. It also has full support for velocity, pitch, aftertouch and MIDI CC. So you can automate parameters easily in your DAW.
Noise Engineering says that it is capable to output chaotic sounds, and wild drum sounds to drones, basslines, and leads. 1000 presets are on board to immediately dive deep into the world of strange and bizarre sounds.
Manis Iteritas
Manis Iteritas is another unique Synthesizer plugin. This time, it’s a shapeshifting synth that combines saw waves in combination with additive, subtractive, and FM synthesis concepts.
The rest of the features are identical to the Loquelic Vereor Synthesizer: a filter, a rich modulation system (envelopes, LFOs, sequencers…), full MIDI CC support, randomization, and more.
Also, Manis Iteritas comes with the same easy-to-use user interface which is limited to the minimum. No fancy GUIs that distract you too much, very hands-on, and also with an avant-garde touch.
You can expect many experimental sounds with a lot of harmonic content that goes far beyond what classic synths can do. Use it for almost anything from alien percussion, to unique melodic parts, and too otherworldly sounds and sound effects. There are 1000 presets onboard which give you a massive overview of what Manis Iteritas is capable of.
Imitor
Can it be a little wilder and more playful, please enter the processing stage where you can completely mangle the delay timbre. You can add a resonant DJ-style filter, combine it with a shimmer effect, make it more crunchy with the distortion, or go to the extremes with the feedback processor.
Noise Engineering Plugin Bundle 2 is available now for $119 USD or individually for $49 USD each. They run as a VST3, AU, and AAX plugin on macOS (Intel + Apple Silicon) and Windows.
