Synthmaster 2 is a true multi-engine synthesis monster that is constantly being updated by a small developer team. The plugin is currently on version 2.9.11 and offers a wide range of features including native Apple M1 and Native Instruments NKS support. So, you can tweak parameters instantly from your Maschine or KOMPLETE keyboard.
It has two layers, each with two oscillator where oscillator can have a different synthesis type. You can choose between virtual analog, additive, vector, wavetable synthesis or SFZ sample playback. This gives you the flexibility to create complex sounds with multiple synthesis types in a single patch. Plus, you can modulate these in different ways including FM, PWM, RM, AM, and physical modeling. Almost infinite possibilities for sound designers.
Filter & Modulation
Then, you have different zero-delay feedback filters from soft to biting ones categorized in four sections: VAnalog, multimode filters, dual filters, and comb filters. With advanced filter parameters like input gain, drive, and acid, you get squeeze out these “analog” style character out of the filters. Further, you can also work with a neat arpeggiator with a wide range arpeggiator modes and the option turn it in a fully-featured sequencer with chord functionality. Each of the 32 steps of the arpeggiator has its own velocity, note number, note length, slide, and hold parameters. For easy parameter tweaks, Synthmaster features 8 easy knobs aka macro controls, and 2 XY pads that can be freely assigned.
Besides these, it has micro-tuning support, multiple skins and comprehensive factory library with over 1800 presets.
