With Bass-Mint, Unfiltered Audio is showing an audio enhancer plugin that can shape and improve the low-end in tracks in 5 different, creative ways.
There are plugin manufacturers that I like to report on, even if the new products do not always fit 100% into the normal news coverage that I specialize in. No problem, you should also look outside the box. I’m a big fan of Unfiltered Audio and their more specialized and innovative products. I go so far and bought the plugins myself in a sale because I really enjoy what they are making.
Bass-Mint is Unfiltered Audio’s latest release and is a low-end enhancer plugin that offers different features that we normally know. Unlike traditional low-end enhancers, it has a more creative approach to the sound processing part. UA describes it as a tool that helps you to improve rapidly the bottom end of your tracks, mixes, or stems. Instead of being a basic plugin for everything, Bass-Mind has 5 different modes with which you can sculpt and enhances your mixer in different ways.
Under the hood, you find a simple frequency splitter with a tweakable cutoff, with separates to the low band from the high band to employ different types of processing on each. From there, each of the five main modes (saturate, resonate, octave, synthesize & overfold) offers new ways to sculpt these high and low parts of the signal through a remarkably simple, creative, and intuitive workflow. On the right side, the plugin offers you additional 6 bass processing techniques.
What is exciting about this plugin is that it is not just another low-end enhancer plugin that you can fin in many DAWs, but one that thinks ahead and offers something new.
