Ableton Live 10.1 Out Now: User Wavetables, New Automation Features, Channel EQ & More

Ableton has today released Live 10.1, a new significant free update with many new features and improvements to support musicians creative process.

User Wavetables

In Live 10.1 it is now possible to import their own wavetables and samples. This extends the Wavetable’s oscillator section massively and offers a  lot of new sounds.

Channel EQ

Channel EQ is a flexible and simple EQ with curves and gains ranges suitable for a variety of audio material.

New Delay Rack

In Live 10 there was Echo, an effect processor that combines the sound of classic analog and digital hardware delays in a single device. In 10.1, users can find another delay rack that includes Simple Delay & Ping Pong Delay, moves ping pong behavior and with a new jump mode.

New & Improved Automation Features

New automation features include a new palette of automation shapes, stretch and skew automation and the ability to enter precise values with a numerical keypad. It’s easier to get access to clip modulation in Session View. Additionally, Live now simplifies complex automation into C- and S-shapes for easier editing.

  • Improvements to zooming and scrolling make switching between detailed views and big picture editing faster with streamlined keyboard shortcuts, pinch zooming on compatible computers, a resizable Arrangement Overview window, and more.
  • Live 10.1 now also allows users to freeze tracks that contain sidechain routing, export single tracks and groups with return and master effects applied and use all their VST3 plug-ins.
