During Superbooth 2017, the french company Twisted Electrons announced several new very attractive products for electronic musician with a different kind of sound architecture. One of these is the new Therapsid MKII, a desktop synthesizer that includes the best-known SID chips from the commodore systems. For me personal, a cool device because it can differ good from classical analog or classic pure digital synthesizers. The device is available from their webstore for 490€ which is for me a very reasonable price for such a special product.
Another new product presented on Superbooth this year is the Crazy 8 Sequencer, a 8 track sequencer in a very compact size. It’s maybe another sequencer but for a price of 250 € only, it’s a nice deal because it includes 4 CV Inputs / Ouput connection and two MIDI output connections. On top, it includes the possibility to create 5 voice chords and to work with a nice and useful probability mode. Than you get set each track to another speed and it includes also a pattern chaining feature. For me, an excellent price vs value point.
