I just got the very sad information that Don Buchla, the inventor of the Buchla Synthesizer is dead. I just read this informations in the Muffwiggler Forum:
Don Buchla who has been in Hospice for the last months, has passed from this life.
I will update this with more details. Perhaps we can post in this thread, best memories and experiences with Don and his musical instruments.
Thinking especially of dear Nannick, Ezra, family and friends. (Thanks to Rick and Sarah).
There will never be another Don Buchla. Best wishes for your next adventure my friend. Thank you for this one.
I don’t have a Buchla but what I can say, it’s one of the most beautiful sounding instrument in the world. I can hear in audio demos directly the Buchla Sound. Very sad information me.
