This is really a Synthesizer insider tip. If you love FM Synthesis but don’t want to spend a lot of money for a new FM Synthesizer, than check out Dexed by Daniel Suburban. It’s a great but easy to use classical FM Synthesizer which can also read SysEx files from a DX7. I really recommend to download this synths to your arsenal free of charge. It’s a no-brainer.
Dexed is an open source, multi platform, multi format plugin synth that is closely modeled on the Yamaha DX7. Dexed is also a MIDI cartridge librarian/manager for the DX7.
