Sound designer/YouTuber Jexus (Sound For Synths) has released 300 new multi-flavored sounds for the Arturia MiniFreak hybrid polysynth.

The Arturia MiniFreak is a lovely hybrid Synthesizer that combines macro oscillators with analog filters. A special feature is that the hardware synth also includes the plugin version, which is both an accurate emulation and a librarian.

Sound designer Jexus has now also worked with the popular French hybrid polysynth and released a new patch library.

The new patch library features 300 new sounds for the MiniFreak Synthesizer. According to Jexus, the sounds are not genre-dependent. They are multi-flavored and cover a wide sound field.

The package also includes all the sequences from the demos as a bonus. Each preset comes with mod wheel assignments, and some also have aftertouch. None of the presets, however, have macros active.

Parallel to the new sound library, Jexus has also published a detailed Arturia MiniFreak review on his website, where you can get insights into how he approaches synths.

First Impression

I listened to the sounds, and there were a lot of gems there. It’s always a great pleasure to listen to Jexus’s sound design. Anyone who needs new sounds for the MiniFreak should stop here.

The new Jexus Arturia MiniFreak sounds are now available from the official website for $29,90/28,90€/£25,90. They are compatible with the MiniFreak hardware and plugin version.
