Article From November 2, 2024
In the past few months, prices for Behringer synthesizers in Europe have dropped. This was expected after significant changes in the US last Summer. Another followed today with a price drop on the Behringer Model D to the lowest price of 199€.
A look at Thomann and Amazon revealed further significant price drops in Europe on Behringer synthesizers.
More Behringer price drops
The Behringer CAT Synthesizer is now 179€ instead of 239€ (Thomann), a 25% price reduction. It’s an analog clone/replica of the Octave The Cat duophonic analog Synthesizer from 1976 with two VCOs, a filter, a single LFO with S&H, and more.
Then, the Kobol Expander price dropped from 189€ to 173€ (8,47% OFF Musziker), or 180€ (4,76% OFF Thomann). It’s not a major price reduction but the best price so far. It’s an authentic clone/replica of the RSF Kobol Expander Synthesizer from 1979.
The Kobol Expander is one of the most exciting B clones because the original is a very rare Synthesizer, and the clone features are very patchable. Unlike a Behringer Model D, the Kobol Expander has plenty of CV and audio connectivity, meaning almost every function can be used modularly.
The Behringer Solina String Ensemble has also fallen significantly. The clone/replica of the ARP Solina String Ensemble from 1974 is currently sold for 222€ instead of 298€. That is also 25% less than before.
More Price Drops
As reported in another article, the Model D, Behringer’s Minimoog clone/replica, also got a price update. It is now available for 199€ instead of 259€
The UB-Xa polysynth has also fallen again. In the summer, the price fell to €999 from 1299€. Now, the Synth is available for 975€, another 2.4% less. Musicstore.de also has a little price adjustment on the desktop version (UB-Xa D). It’s now 819€ instead of 849€.
The Behringer Space FX module has also experienced a significant price drop. It launched in April 2023 for 99€ and is now available for 69€.
Further, the Toro Synthesizer, previously 199€, is now 177€ (11% OFF). It’s a clone/replica of the Moog Taurus rev1 from 1975. Other new prices are:
- Four Play (Intellijel VCA clone) 98€ → 78€ (Muziker)
The wave of price adjustments from the US is now also reaching Europe. I’m curious to see which synths will become cheaper and whether the prices will stay the same or become more expensive in the next months.
