Pioneer DJ announced at NAMM 2017 their first analog mono Synthesizer in collaboration with Dave Smith Instruments. The AS-1 Synthesizer is based on a Prophet 6 mono engine and comes with a powerful performance sequencer. Can Pioneer DJ build Synths? This is the question I try to answer in my new overview video for this Synthesizer. I animate the video a bit with some additional new sounds from the machine for a better first look at the machine.
