Output and Reason Studios partner up for the new Arcade & Reason+ bundle with two plugins packed with sounds & sound design tools.
I’m not a fan of subscriptions, especially when you’re paying and not really doing anything for it. Like putting money in a bottomless pit. But there are also positive services such as the Roland Cloud, Reason+, or Output Arcade, which constantly offer new content.

Output Arcade
First, you get Output Arcade, a sampler plugin that is constantly being expanded with new sounds. Sounds can be selected via an online browser and loaded directly into the plugin.
Unlike in classic sample subscriptions, you get here ready-made virtual instruments with deep possibilities to change and personalize the sounds. The offers 11+ effects, 4 macro sliders, and deep modulation functionalities. You can also drag and drop your own samples into Sampler Kits with automatic key and tempo detection. So the engine generates kits for you with automatic slices and maps.
The virtual instruments can not only be manipulated but also played in real-time like in a performance. It allows you to play own melodies, chords, and riffs thanks to its polyphonic sampler engine.
If you are looking for a huge number of virtual instruments without having to build long sounds yourself, this is the place for you. The other side of sound design is also possible here.
Reason+
Secondly, it includes a 12-month subscription to Reason+. It includes Reason 12 + future updates, the ability to use Reason as a Rack Plugin, as well as all official Reason Studios rack extensions. Including the new Chord Sequencer that RS released yesterday.
If you use Reason as a rack plugin, you can supercharge any DAW with numerous new synthesizers (VA, wavetable, west-coast modular, FM…) virtual instruments, effects, including mixing and mastering tools. So a package full of new sounds and tools for your next music production. Alternatively, Reason 12 can also be used as a classic DAW.
