NAMM 2026: Korg Filter Ark is a new creative filter plugin for macOS and Windows that brings legendary Korg filters to your DAW.
Ahead of NAMM 2026, Korg today announced the microAudio audio interfaces. They include a new Korg Collection 6 plugin.
Korg has today released Filter Ark, a new creative filter plugin, packed with vintage and modern filters.
Korg Filter Ark
Filter Ark is a versatile filter plugin for macOS and Windows that lets you combine up to four different filters.
At the core of the Korg Filter Ark are 14 filter modules, including emulations of legendary Korg filter types from the MS-20, Polysix, and miniKORG 700S, as well as novel, unique ones, such as physical-modeling-based ones.
Here is the list with all the models:
- MS-20 (HP/LP filters modeled after the MS-20 Synthesizer)
- Polysix (warm and smooth LP filter from the Polysix synth)
- miniKORG 700S (thick and smooth HP/LP connected in series modeled on the miniKORG 700S synth)
- ARP Odyssey (LP filter with sharp resonance from the ARP Odyssey synth)
- Modal: a physical modeling resonator
- Vowel: a formant filter with continuous morphing between three vowels
- Stereo: a stereo filter with independent filters on each side
- IR: a simple impulse response loader
- All Pass
- Morphing: a continuously morphable filter
- Multimode: a multimode filter with a variety of modes for EQ duties.
- Waveguide: waveguide resonator based on the Korg Volca Drum
- Spectram Tracer: it combines the characteristics of the input sound and sample material to create a unique texture.
- Drift: a parallel filter that creates a unique sense of positioning with the Delta control.
Routing, Modulation & Sound Source
The strength of the Filter Ark plugin is its ability to combine four filters, creating a unique filter effect.
One building block of this is the flexible routing. You can combine filters in series, parallel, feedback, and other configurations using a routing matrix.
To bring the filters to life, there is also a modulation engine featuring a morphable multi-wave LFO, an envelope follower with a sidechain input, and a step sequencer.
There is also an integrated noise generator and scale quantizer for the cutoff control, allowing you to use it as a sound source for rhythmic or melodic sequences. Plus, you have four macros and a wealth of ready-to-use presets.
First Impression
I tested the new Ark filter plugin a bit in advance. It’s a highly creative filter plugin with a wide range of popular filters. Having the legendary Korg filters in a plugin is neat.
The more specialized filters are also fun, especially the physical modeling and waveguide, which allow you to give sounds a crazy, organic, acoustic-like treatment. The only thing that I don’t like is the UI, which doesn’t look that great.
Korg Filter Ark is available now for an introductory price of $ 49.99, down from $ 99.99, and is included in the Korg Collection 6. Existing KC6 users can download it for free.
It’s also a free download for existing microAudio 22 and microAudio 722 audio interfaces. It runs as a VST, VST3, AU, and AAX plugin on macOS (native Apple Silicon + Intel) and Windows. A free demo with a 20-min session limit is available for download from the official website.
