Momo Müller has released a software editor for the Behringer JT Mini, the 109€ 1-voice Jupiter-8-inspired analog Synthesizer.

The Behringer JT Mini has been available and in stock in Europe for a few days now. It took longer for the baby Jupiter-8 to become available.

The 3-oscillator synth is fully analog, but can be controlled digitally externally. However, the hardware doesn’t offer a way to save patches. No problem. Momo Müller has the solution with his software editor.

As with the Behringer JT-4000M and Pro VS Mini, Momo Müller has now built his own editor for the JT Mini. Parameter tweaking is done on the hardware. However, the editor is helpful for two features that Behringer didn’t provide.

First, you can use the editor to save the JT Mini’s parameters, creating patches that you can recall at any time. Secondly, the editor simplifies integration into the DAW.

Momo Müller delivers the editor as a plugin that can be loaded into any DAW, and thus you can record and automate MIDI parameters.

All hardware parameters can be found in the software editor, including play mode (poly, uni, and ARP modes), VCO, LFO, VCF, envelope, and more. Additionally, it offers an X/Y pad that can be mapped to various parameters.

Further, you can find virtual pitch and modwheels, and a patch randomizer. In the editor, however, the visualization of the motion sequencer is missing.

First Impression

A handy addition to the JT Mini synthesizer. It’s a shame Behringer doesn’t offer a dedicated editor in Syntribe.

Momo Müller Behringer JT Mini editor is available now for 6,99€. It runs as a VST2, VST3, and AU plugin on macOS (native Apple Silicon + Intel) and Windows. Behringer JT Mini is available now for 109€.
