Oops, the German magazine Beat probably leaked today a new polyphonic Synthesizer from Novation. According to the information from the leak, the name of the new synth is Summit, has 16-voices of polyphony and a keyboard.
Summit will be a keyboard version of the successful Peak hybrid Synthesizer, announced back at Superbooth 2017. Summit will have the same beloved Peak synth engine but with 16-voices.
It will feature three oscillators, multi-mode filter, and three distortion stages. New also is a food pedal input, an additional stereo output and a stereo input for sending external signals through the filter and effect sections. You can also see more control elements on the interface.
Thus, Novation would follow the customer request and bring a keyboard version on the market with some additional features.
The built-in keyboard should come from the new Novation SL MKIII keyboard and will offer aftertouch according to the news article.
Novation Summit is expected to cost € 2200 and be available in the fall of 2019. If this leak is correct I can not confirm but we will see it on the Superbooth.
