Ableton adds 5 new probability based composing devices to Live 10 Suite & Live 10 Standard + M4L that brings your music creativity forward!

Ableton remains true to its motto by updating Live 10 on a regular basis with new features. The newest release adds a brand new probability pack to the Live 10 Suite & Live 10 Standard + M4L content. The 5 new deices were developed in collaboration with Sonic Faction and are all based on the same idea: using probability to be creative. Every device is super powerful and allows you to create in a new way music ideas.

Included are devices for probability in melodies, rhythmics or arpeggiator, a step divider or even a neural network for generating melodies. This new package features a wide range of new exciting tools for creating music. Beside this, it comes also with a variety of new sounds.

Each sequencer has a unique way of adding subtle or extreme randomization to patterns for unpredictable outcomes. Use these sequencers to generate new ideas, create variations of existing patterns, set up unpredictable, ever-evolving musical textures or combine them all to create complete chaos.

The sequencers were designed for hands-on use with Push, but hardware is not necessary to use them. Probability Pack also comes with custom presets designed by Sonic Faction to show off the expressiveness of each device.

The Pack Includes

  • Melodic Probability: A monophonic step sequencer made for leads. Set the probability of the event, pitch and octave of each step.
  • Rhythmic Probability: A polyphonic sequencer made for rhythms. Set the probability of the velocity, length, and event of each step.
  • Probability Arp: An arpeggiator with a built-in chord generator. Set the probability for rate, note direction (style), length and octave.
  • Step Divider: A polyphonic sequencer where each step can be divided into any number of smaller subdivisions for glitchy and chaotic results.
  • Dr. Chaos: A neural network that strings together notes and generates melodies in unpredictable ways.
  • New Sounds: Over 60 Ableton synth presets, Instrument Racks and settings specifically designed for the sequencers are also included in Probability Pack.

Ableton Probability Pack is available for free for al Live 10 Suite users (or Live 10 Standard + Max For Live).
