Disting Mk4 Firmware Update 4.7 Adds Multi-Sample Audio Playback!

The new firmware update for the Expert Sleepers Disting Mk4 transforms this powerful Eurorack module in a multi-sample audio player!

Expert Sleepers hast just released a very interesting firmware update for the Disting Mk4 multifunction Eurorack module. The new version adds a multi-sample audio playback functionality to the module that allows you to use it as sample player. The start position of the sample and other parameters can be CV controlled.

Beside this, a new MIDI gate parameter is available in the Shift Register Random Quantized CVs, Quantizer, and Dual Quantizer algorithms.

Overview

The disting is a many-in-1 multifunction module, offering a variety of CV and audio processes, including a selection of oscillators (LFOs/VCOs). All algorithms have two high-precision inputs and outputs, and a third control input, exposed on a front panel knob and a CV input. The disting is also a sample (WAV) file and MIDI file player, with a variety of options for sample triggering, playback speed etc.

New in disting mk4 firmware v4.7:

Added the Multisample Audio Playback algorithm.
Added MIDI Gate parameter to the Shift Register Random Quantized CVs, Quantizer, and Dual Quantizer algorithms.
Fixed the quantization of natural and harmonic minor scales so that incoming notes already in the scale don’t get shifted to neighbouring notes.
Fixed an issue in the Dual Euclidean Patterns algorithm that could cause it to start incorrectly depending on the position of the Z pot.
