The new Bitwig Studio 2.4 update focuses on sampling: granular & wavetable playback modes, new multi-samples editor… & other major improvements!
Who thought that Bitwig drives with the new upgrade plan only small updates, is wrong! With the new Bitwig Studio update 2.4, the Berlin software company has presented a massive update for their DAW. The new version features a big feature update for the sampler instrument. It comes now with a new granular and wavetable play modes that brings further the sound creation possibilities: repitch (traditional sampler mode), cycles (unchanged pitch, changed tempo with additional format options), textures (granular synthesis) and each modes can be freezed. To simplify the workflow with multi-samples, the developers also updated the multi-samples editor with new features.
Beside the big sampler update, Bitwig 2.4 also includes new modulators (ParSeq-8, Note Counter), new devices (note FX layer, channel filter, channel map) and other good improvements. In summary, this is an exciting update coming in the summer that brings Bitwig Studio DAW further and makes it more interesting for music producers.
