AVP Synth is a small instrument manufactory that just a few months ago released the MBS-100 hybrid Synthesizer. Today the developers presented a new product that doesn’t include a complete analog but hybrid engine. Cosmwave is a new hardware multi-effects processor that is based on three separate effects phaser, delay and flayer which can be used separately as well as combined in this order: Phase → Flanger → Delay.
The Cosmwave features one analog phaser, one analog flanger and a hybrid analog/digital delay with up to 1 minute delay feedback time. Effect device need sufficient connections so that they can be used properly. The developer decide here to put nine 6.3 mm connectors on the back, three for each of the effects, one input and two outputs. The input signals in each of the effects are linear, mono and all effects have pseudo-stereo output. This big amount of audio connections guarantee a lot of flexibility in the setup.
Than you have CV inputs for the MANUAL knob control in the Phaser and Flanger sections. This complete engine is built-in a durable metal case with wood sides and everything is hand-assembled in Moscow (Russia) using discrete components. An additional 15V AC euro type adapter is included with the purchase.
The first batch will be only available in limited quantities (10 units – including this prototype). Minor changes in the printing will be made plus the power supply would be external 15 VAC adapter instead of PSU. The developer wrote in his statement that video and audio demos will follow soon.
The AVP Synth Cosmwave will be available soon for an estimated price of 469€ including shipping.
