If I had to say companies that are over busy in the past few months, than it’s for me Erica Synths. Today, they continue their “marathon” of new release and announced the Black Dual VCF multimode filter as well as a new Pico module for the Eurorack world.
The Black Dual VCF includes two identical multimode VCF’s with simultaneous HP, BP and LP outputs. A cool feature is that you have full CV control over the cutoff and resonance. With a link switch, you can control both VCF’s with one cutoff or resonance knob what is also an handy feature. Compared to other dual filters, the Black Dual VCF features one very cool bonus feature, a 16 band spectrum analyser where users can visual feedback on what happens on the summing output. Also very clever feature that helps a lot.
Erica Black VCF is dual multimode filter with CV control over cutoff and resonance for serious modular patches. The core of the VCF is highly stable, custom multimode VCF chip AS3320 (produced in Riga, btw). It can be used as two independent VCFs with simultaneous HP, BP and LP outputs, controls can be linked for stereo application and both VCFs can be chained in series or parallel to the summing output for ultimate modulations. Bonus feature – 16 band spectrum analyser – gives visual feedback on what happens on summing output.
Features of the Black Dual VCF
- Two identical multimode VCFs.
- Simultaneous HP, BP and LP outputs.
- Summing output.
- CV control over Cutoff and Resonance.
- CV level attenuverters.
- Link switch for controlling both VCFs with one cutoff or resonance knob.
- 16 band spectrum analyser.
- Skiff-friendly design.
The Black Dual VCF Eurorack module is now available for 350 EUR, ex. VAT for EU customers and shipping.
Beside the new Dual Filter, Erica Synths also released the Pico T→G, a very interesting new utility module. It allows to covert triggers to gates using new smart algorithms. This new module is inspired by Ryoji Ikeda compositions and allows you to transform a simple trigger sequencer into a powerful pattern generator.
The module can turn a simple trigger sequencer into powerful musical pattern generator. The module was created inspired by Ryoji Ikeda compositions. With Pico Series we challenged ourselves – can we make ANY superior functionality synth module 3HP wide and affordable? Yes, we can.
Features of Pico Trigger to Gate
- Manually and CV controlled gate length.
- Manually and CV controlled gate skipping probability.
- Triggered and Independent modes.
- Incoming trigger in and output gate control LEDs.
The Pico T→G module is available now for 90 EUR ex. VAT and shipping.
