Modular Addict announced new affordable stacking Eurorack patch cables and describe it as new take on existing stacking patch cables. Interesting to know is that this type of cables were initially only available via the US company Tip Top Audio. The reason is easy: they still have a patent on it. I can’t say more what the technical differences are between these cables and those from TP Audio. The main difference is the price. They start for the shortest at $2.85 and for the longest 4.49$.
It will be interesting if Tip Top Audio will forbid this new cables or not.
Our stacking Eurorack patch cables are a new take on existing stacking patch cables. Each end has a male plug AND female jack so you can mult signals without needing the space of a multiple. Our cables have a unique circuit utilizing a double shielded insulated cable with isolated grounds, are taller by design and integrate a strain relief for more mechanical strength, and are as narrow as possible so you can fit these next to each other in dense modules. The cables are a soft rubber with excellent drape!
