Mostly free plugins will not receive the same amount of care than commercial products. It exist exceptions like the OrilRiver plugin by Denis Tihanov. The developer released today the public beta version of the new v.2.0.2 with VST support for mac, a better GUI and much more. On top, this plugin is a free plugin and doesn’t cost you anything. Download it and have fun. If you find some bugs, it’s nice to sending the developer a message so he can fix them.
