Will The Loan Of Eurorack Complete Systems Become A New Business Model?

With Eurorack Synthesizer, you can have long time fun in the studio and are sound design monsters. With its absolute modularity, one has endless possibilities to craft sounds. A big problem for many music producers is however the price. To start with a good system, you have to invest a lot of money. Usually a minimum of 1000€ is required (case, power supply, modules, cables,…) So that as many music producers as possible can use the world of Eurorack Synthesizers in their music, Schneiders Laden, the leading modular shop from Berlin has launched an interesting new business model.

From now on, you can rent entire Eurorack Synthesizer systems for a specific time period. Currently there are two different complete systems available. The price per week range from 150€ to 175€ incl. VAT and musicians must pay a deposit of 1250€ incl. VAT. For renting an entire Eurorack system from Schneiders Laden, you must be a company (label, studios etc.)

Certainly an interesting business model for Schneiders Laden and also for musicians to trying out longer the world of modular synthesis with Eurorack modules So they can try out the whole thing for a week and see if it fits into the production. In my opinion, better to rent such a system than invest a lot of money and you have no benefit.

VERLEIHSYSTEM Make Noise – Shared System SUPERBOOTH Edition

The Shared System is housed in a portable wooden case with rubber feet, a carrying handle and a lid which is deep enough to keep the System patched when travelling. The case meets requirements for carry-on luggage. It offers 208HP space, 30 patch cords are supplied with the system, each ten in 15cm, 30cm and 60cm length. An external brick-style switching power supply which can be used worldwide is included. It delivers 1.4A at +12V, 1A at -12V and 250mA at +5V
