Leak: NI Absynth, the legendary soundscape Synthesizer from Native Instruments and Brian Clevinger, is coming back in version 6 next week.
In early September 2022, Native Instruments caused considerable discontent among the Synthesizer and music production community when they released Komplete 14 and removed Absynth 5 from their portfolio. Yes, it had been discontinued.
This step was taken because it would have required vast resources to make it compatible with modern systems. This community outcry seems to have invigorated NI, as a recent leak reveals an advertisement in a magazine for an upcoming Absynth 6 Synthesizer.

This leaked information is accurate. It’s not just the leaked advertisement in the magazine that is pointing to this release. There’s also a dedicated page on the Native Instruments website about it.
They write: “Coming soon – Synth-lovers, this one’s for you. Sign up below to be the first to hear all about it”. Additionally, there’s a countdown timer. If you believe it, it will be next Tuesday, December 9, 2025.
The chosen color for the animation is also very much in the Absynth green range. And I can tell you this much: Yes, it’s NI Absynth 6, and it’s coming next week. I’m already testing it for you and will publish a review.
If you look closely, some sound designers who have Absynth patch libraries in their portfolio also hint at the release.

Would be interesting if it will be part of the next Komplete 16, I don’t want to buy twice for it.
They should give it for free to all the Komplete owners.
Wow, awesome! Didn’t expect this, to be honest. If this is a standalone purchase, It would be a nice addition to the next major Komplete release. Maybe a good reason for upgrades in 2026 etc. Wonder if it still falls into the current CYBER SALE period?!?
