Karanyi Sounds Electric Keys
Electric Keys is a sample-based virtual instrument plugin that features four sound sources from iconic FM synthesizers. The focus is on old, cheesy electric piano sounds found in these synths from the 80s and 90s.
The engine features three sound layers, each tweakable with various parameters: volume, fine-tune, octave, and EQ. There is also a volume ADSR, and built-in modulators for tremolo or wow-like sounds.
These three layers are a good fundament for thick and lush electric piano sounds. These can be manipulated further with the built-in effects.
A highlight is the Vapor Dimension Mk2 multi-FX, which is also available as a separate plugin. It features 10 DSP algorithms with various effects combinations, including phaser and chorus. Great for adding vintage-style timbres.
Electric Keys also includes Ethos, a lovely, rich-sounding reverb effect with over 20 distinct algorithms. An effect that takes your piano sounds to the ambient, cinematic world. Also, to great to craft pad-like sounds from the e-pianos.
There is also a smart randomizer onboard that allows you to randomize various sections of the plugin: the sources, sound controls, effects, or the entire plugin for a 100% surprise.
Karanyi Sounds ships the plugin with over 10 ready-to-use presets. Of course, you can create your own patches and store them in the plugin.
