The fundraise campaign of a new massive full featured MIDI-CV Step Sequencer and Arranger started this week. The Groove Engine is a new MIDI beat and synth sequencing tool, designed dedicated hand on controls, speed and easy to-use for hobbyist and professional musicians.
The Groove Engine provides you with 16-step sequencer across 16 instrument track. Eack track is equipped
- mute and solo keys
- can output MIID Notes messages
- a variety of most common control change messages, all values of which can be sequenced on a per-step basis
- can be set to any of the 16 MIDI channels (control over 16 samplers and sequencers at onces)
The Groove Engine is equipped with MIDI Input and output ports, allowing you to not only insert this unit in between your MIDI controller and sampler chain, but also use the MIDI controller to optionally input the note value on a per-step basis.
On top of MIDI, each of the 16 tracks also outputs Eurorack format trigger and note control voltage signals. The CV note signal can be set to those separate of the MIDI note values. To sync your Groove Machine with outboard equipment, you may pick either an internal clock generator, sync via MIDI or sync via control voltage input. Alternatively it’s possible to use use the Groove Engine as a clock source in your modular rig.
Great feature of the Groove Engine Sequencer is that you can save your complete setlist on a SD card and recall it. Each live set set you create comes with 16 pattern slots, in total 256 steps of sequencing and arranging headroom per song.
