SynTesla shares its ambitious 2026/2027 plans with new 5U modules, modular synths, a polysynth, pedals, and more, alongside Hans Zimmer.
It started as a hobby. That changed overnight when Hans Zimmer messaged Pierre Jean Tardiveau to develop and produce the Giorgio III. The French company SynTesla was born, and things are moving fast.
Pierre shared SynTesla’s plans for 2026/2027 today, and they are quite something. This new French synth brand will have a lot of news coming.
SynTesla Plans 2026/2027
Pierre’s first projects were steampunk-inspired custom synthesizers based on readily available, off-the-shelf synthesizers. Then came Hans Zimmer’s Giorgio III project and the collaboration with Yves Usson, and everything went to a different level.
The first commercial product is the MegaHertz, a 5U modular synth based on the Giorgio synth, along with Eurorack versions. Work is underway on producing the first batch of the MegaHertz synthesizer, and it’s planned to ship this year.
At the same time, production has begun on a full series of SynTesla 5U modules. These include
- a DCO, sequencer, drone engine, noise generator, exotic filter, wave animator, multi-segment envelope, barber-pole FX, stereo reverb, quad reverb, CV multiband resonator, and HZ series master keyboards (61 keys with 4 or 8 channels of CV).
They will also open the pre-orders for the GigaHertz modular Synthesizer (3x24MU), which will be big brother of the MegaHertz synth with more modules.
The Eurorack plans in SynTesla roadmap will continue to be pursued. Production of the previously announced 3U modules (SLFO-16, Toolbox STBX-10 MKII…) is currently underway.
Furthermore, additional new modules will be added over the next two years and complete Eurorack systems are also in the planing.
Bigger Plans
That sounds like a lot of work for Pierre Jean Tardiveau and his team. SynTesla has even more plans for 2027.
An exciting project will be the SynTesla IX, an upcoming polyphonic Synthesizer in expander form (desktop) and a keyboard version, which they will be working on.
Besides this, they will work on a line of effects pedals for keyboards and guitars: TINAC modulator, Cascade Flanger, Sparkling Riser, Warp Filter, Multiband overdrive, and Saturation Lab.
Plus, they plan to release a line of desktop products: a stereo multi-filter and an effects and modulation generator. Oh, that’s not all.
They’re also working on a travel modular Synthesizer prototype in collaboration with Hans Zimmer and Rimowa.
And to top it all off, they will develop, in partnership with ANT (Autism New Tech), a Synthesizer designed for people on the autism spectrum and people with disabilities.
First Impression
These are ambitious plans that Pierre is pursuing with his company SynTesla. I’m curious to see how quickly they can implement these plans. The 3U and 5U modules will probably be available the fastest. Stay tuned!

That’s a HUGE portfolio for a brand new company. Very easy to stumble badly with so many simultaneous things in the air unless there is some serious operational know-how in there. I wish them all sorts of success. Their designs are beautiful.
