Klevgrand Altitude is a new FX processor plugin for macOS, Linux, and iPadOS that bundles various processors into a vocal performance hub.
Music often includes more than instruments; many compositions feature the most human instrument of all—the voice—whether one’s own or a singer’s.
In music technology, numerous tools can alter or refine the voice, such as pitch correction. With Altitude, Klevgrand has released a plugin that bundles different tools into one hub.
Klevgrand Altitude
Altitude is a new vocal performance hub plugin for macOS, Windows, and iPadOS. According to Klevgrand, Altitude is an all-in-one processor plugin that replaces multiple separate ones. It’s designed for studio producers and live performance alike.
At its core, Altitude features a zero-latency engine built for real-time tracking and stage performance. This is certainly important for people who use the iPad in live performance settings.
It acts as a central hub for pitch manipulation, dynamic harmonization, MIDI control, and sound design. It consists of four distinct, flexible modules.
The Lead module houses a low-latency, formant-aware pitch correction engine. It works well for both transparent and hard-tune settings. It also comes with extra formant and width tools, including double-mode voicing options, stereo widening, and formant shifting without altering pitch.
Then, the Smart Harmonizer can generate up to three additional harmony voices. Smart is the smart scale logic function that automatically maps your voice to your target key.
MIDI Playable & Modulation
It comes with various humanization controls (per-voice vibrato, humanizers…) as well as built-in stereo spread with dual doubler modes and width controls for blending rich backings directly inside the plugin.
On the right side is the Play Module, aka MIDI integration that turns your vocal into a live, playable instrument. Connect a MIDI controller or program notes in your DAW to trigger melodies, custom chords, and complex vocal arrangements on the fly.
Tweak it with an adjustable AR envelope to shape how incoming vocal phrases respond to key presses.
Klevgrand Altitude is not just a traditional pitch correction processor. You can also use it more creatively. The modulation engine makes this possible.
It comes with three independent modulators (LFO or custom 16-step sequencer) where each can control up to eight parameters at the same time (including pitch, formants, pan, volume, and stereo width).
Neat: you can draw custom modulation curves to add continuous micro-pitch variations, rhythmic chopping, or spatial movement. All of this is syncable to your DAW’s tempo or can run free. If you use them, a large vocal sound design portal opens up.
First Impression
Klevgrand has a lovely plugin design that makes you feel right at home. That’s true with Alitude, too. It feels a bit more exciting with the different colors than the others, yet it’s very pleasant to use.
I’m not a singer, but the possibilities here are exciting. It’s a bit pricey, but you get a lot of tools in one package.
Klevgrand Altitude is available now for $149,99. It runs as a VST, VST3, AU, and AAX plugin on macOS (native Apple Silicon + Intel) and Windows. The iPadOS version is out now for an introductory price of $19,99 instead of $39,99.

If zero latency is true then it’s a steal for 23 €. I wrote once a vocalist plugin too, and to reliably detect low male voices at a buffer size of 256 is very hard or even impossible to achieve because you don’t see the entire wavelength at 50-100 Hz (f0 harmony) in that small buffer size. Even for 150 $ it’s a very competitive and reasonable price on the Mac. I have high respect for vocalist devs.
Immediately bought it for the iPad. Standalone crashed sometimes on the M1 Air, but didn’t crash in AUM. Have to test it longer. Hope, they fix that because it’s a really great software I’ve long waited for… fantastic!
