GEOSynths Matrix Vol 2 is a new patch library with 128 all-new sounds for the Oberheim TEO-5 polyphonic analog Synthesizer.
In mid-2024, Oberheim released the TEO-5, a budget-friendly polyphonic analog Synthesizer. One of the first third-party patch libraries was Matrix Vol. 1 by British sound designer GEOSynths. Two years later, the next volume is ready.
GEOSynths has released Matrix Vol 2, a new patch library with new sounds for the TEO-5 Synthesizer.

Matrix Vol 2 is a new patch library with 128 new sounds for the Oberheim TEO-5 polyphonic analog Synthesizer. According to GEOSynths, Matrix Vol 2 goes in a different direction.
While the first volume captured that quintessential, bold early-80s OB character the sound that defined everyone from Prince to classic Electro this second outing pushes the architecture even further.
GEOSynths says that it still holds onto that undeniable Oberheim warmth, but we’re taking it into fresh, unexplored sonic territory.
The 128 new patches feature modern, complex soundscapes and deep, evolving pads. It also ships with cutting synth basses, soaring leads, classic strings, polysynths, and arpeggiators.
Jamie Morden of GEOSynths also added support for Banks 1 to G, along with individual patches for easy loading. If you have Volume 1, you also get a complete snapshot of the synth, keeping the factory patches intact and loading Matrix Vol 2 straight into the user banks.
Performance is also a priority for this volume, so the sounds can be played in a creative way. For this, each patch comes with pre-mappings of various parameters on the main controllers like the mod wheel.
First Impression
A nice new patch library for the TEO-5 Synthesizer that covers a lot of ground. And new sounds for existing instruments are always welcome.
GEOSynths Matrix Vol 2 is available now for $39. Get both volumes as a bundle for $69 instead of $78.
