The August Mega Bundle by APD features the Sugar Bytes Factory synth, other plugins, and Kontakt libraries for $30 for a limited time.
Audio Plugin Deals, or APD for short, have been offering monthly bundles for several months now, combining various products and selling them at very low prices.
The August Mega Bundle launched yesterday, and this one is one of the best yet.
August Mega Bundle
The new August Mega Bundle contains 13 different products, featuring audio plugins, Kontakt libraries, and sample and preset libraries from various companies, sold for $30. According to Audio Plugin Deals, the August Mega Bundle products have a retail value of $1364.
There are quite a few plugins to check out in this bundle. In my opinion, the highlight plugin is Sugar Bytes Factory. It’s a polyphonic modular-style Synthesizer plugin with two oscillators, with both classic and wilder engines (VA sync, fractal, wavetable, waveguide, samples, and FM).
It has a flexible, color-coded 8×8 modulation matrix visualized with points, and creative sequencers with more experimental modes like Liquid and Sample & Hold. Sugar Bytes plugins are all a bit quirky and experimental.
Factory normally costs 129€ and is included in this bundle, which already makes it a great deal. It also includes two Safari Pedals plugins: Gorilla Drive, a tube-style saturation/distortion plugin, and Hawk Phaser, a multi-stage modulation FX. They are regularly $ 89.99.
The other plugins are: W.A Production Ignition, a harmonic enhancement and distortion plugin ($59,99), and two Raizes Player-based ambient virtual instruments from ZAK Sounds: Arctic Spaces and Skyridge, each sold for 37€.
Soundware
In addition to the plugins, the August Mega Bundle also includes a wealth of sound content.
Sample Logic Waterharp Xpressions is a cinematic instrument for Kontakt (full version) built on recordings of the iconic, water-filled metal instrument.
It comes with a custom engine that lets you morph between metallic textures, haunting bows, eerie cinematic pads, and atmospheres. The library regularly costs $129.
Auddict Celestial Voices is another Kontakt virtual instrument (full version). It focuses on a pristine solo soprano voice with smooth legato transitions, expressive dynamic swells, and more (MSRP: $130).

Deal?!
The last few monthly bundles didn’t really impress me. The August bundle is different and offers many exciting tools for a low price. The Sugar Bytes Factory plugin alone is worth $30 and a great opportunity to get the plugin at a super low price.

Also: are these offers trying to trap users into Ilok bs?
Also: do they offer the sampling libraries only for one single application, Kontakt? That would be really not cool to be forced into one single application, why would you do that?
not for iPad. iPad apps are just available on the Apple App Store
The plugins are not for iLok and if they would be, simply don’t buy them. It’s easier to find out if they are or not.
The libraries that are labeled as “Kontakt full version” are for Kontakt only, the others are samples or presets
