UVI Synth Anthology 5 is a major upgrade to its virtual synth instrument, with new features (filters…) and all-new sound content.
With Synth Anthology, the French company UVI offers a virtual instrument that provides access to hardware sounds from many vintage and modern synthesizers. Instead of modeling, the patches are based on a mixture of multi-sampling and internal Falcon synthesis.
UVI has released Synth Anthology 5 today, the fifth version of their Synthesizer tour de force.

Synth Anthology 5 is a new virtual synth instrument for the Falcon 2026 Synthesizer and free UVI Player. It brings together 300 instruments from every era and method of synthesis in a single software instrument
Like in the previous versions, every sound in Synth Anthology 5 begins with the original hardware. UVI says: each machine is sourced, serviced, and captured through high-end signal chains, then expertly programmed and edited by its own sound design team.
The fifth version comes with 100 new multi-sampled hardware synths, including the Akai AX60 or AX73, Crumar Bit 99, DSI Prophet 08, Korg Poly 800, Marion Systems MSR-2, various Oberheims (OB-Xa, OBIE, OB1…), and many more.
This gives you access to 300 multi-sampled hardware Synthesizer sound sources. Alongside the new sound source, it comes with 1000+ sound layers, 16000+ samples, and 300 presets.
Refined Dual-Layer Engine
At the UVI Synth Anthology 5 core is again a dual-layer architecture that combines any two of the 300 synthesizers into a single hybrid voice. Built-in filters, modulation, rich multi-FX, and advanced sequencing give you many tools to craft sounds from scratch.
New in SA5 is a proximity explorer that analyzes each sound you load and instantly surfaces eight related voices to audition and remix, turning a 6,000+ preset library into a guided path of discovery.
Then, you can work with a new analog drift control that introduces small, living instabilities to your sounds, beloved in vintage analog instruments. It adds the character of decaying circuitry and increasing analog imperfection at the turn of a knob. The character
The engine also introduces new hardware-modeled Moog ladder and ARP Odyssey MK1 VCF4023 filters. That’s not all. Version 5 also adds a new polyphonic sequencer mode and per-step sequencer note repeat.
First Impression
A nice, solid upgrade for Synth Anthology, providing users with great ready-to-use synth sounds.
UVI Synth Anthology 5 is available now for $89/89€ instead of $149/149€ through July 20th, 2026. Users of Synth Anthology 4 can upgrade for $49/49€ through July 20th, 2026. Owners of SonicBundle will receive an additional $10/10€ voucher.
It offers native 64-bit standalone operation by way of Falcon or the free UVI Workstation, providing comprehensive support for all modern DAWs and simultaneous authorization on up to 3 computers or iLok keys.
