ManBehindTheMachines Octavoice is a new free 2-oscillator polyphonic Synthesizer for NI Reaktor and soon Maschine+.

Native Instruments’ Maschine+ comes pre-loaded with various synthesizers. These instruments haven’t been expanded yet. However, it’s possible to develop and use Reaktor instruments for the Maschine+ using workarounds.

ManBehindTheMachines is a developer who has already developed several free Reaktor Maschine+ enable synths, and with Octavoice, the next one is on the horizon.

ManBehindTheMachines Octavoice

Octavoice is a new 8-voice virtual analog polyphonic Synthesizer for Reaktor designed with CPU efficiency in mind.

According to ManBehindTheMachines, the current version is compatible with Reaktor 6 (full version) and Maschine MK3. The Maschine+ compatible version is not yet ready and needs stability improvements.

Octavoice features two multi-wave oscillators, each with tune, fine-tune, and shape controls. Rich harmonic sounds are possible with oscillator 2 sync and frequency modulation (FM) options. There is also an oscillator mixer.

Then, it features a multimode filter with a built-in overdrive and noise for extra crunch. The filter also comes with a dedicated filter ADSR envelope.

Alongside this, it has a second ADSR envelope and a syncable LFO. A modulation slot system on the right side lets you assign modulation to parameters with sources and targets.

Further, it has glide, velocity, tuning, and voices control. The latter allows you to set the polyphony from one to eight. Here, you can also modify the filter type. At the signal chain end is a VCA with control over the L/R phase.
