Sinevibes Dispersion v2 is an original bouncing ball delay plugin now available for Korg Logue hardware synths, including the second generation.
In 2021, Sinevibes released Dispersion v2, an improved version of their original bouncing-ball delay. The plugin has also been available for Korg Logue hardware since 2020.
Now, hardware users can also benefit from version 2. Sinevibes has released Dispersion v2 for the Korg hardware today.
Sinevibes Dispersion v2 Korg
Dispersion is a unique bouncing ball delay plugin for Korg Logue hardware synths. The Korg version is based on the same original algorithm as Sinevibes Dispersion v2’s desktop plugin.
It runs multiple delay taps sequentially, with their times distributed according to a unique non-linear formula that produces a series of sound repetitions – modeled after bounces of a ball that has been dropped onto a surface.
Each round of bounces is calculated to fit within a specific tempo fraction, resulting in a rhythmically precise effect.
The algorithm also offers an inverted time distribution option, as well as variable stereo pan spread between the individual bounces (on the second-generation devices).
Version 2 brings Dispersion to second-generation Korg hardware, such as the NTS-1 MKII. These devices offer two additional parameters for setting the delay bounces.
It includes time distribution mode (downwards and upwards) and bipolar stereo spread, which allows the bounces to travel from the left channel to the right channel – or vice versa. Of course, version 2 still runs on the first-gen hardware, but without the extra controls.
First Impression
I’m pleased to see that Dispersion v2 is now available for all Korg Logue hardware synths. It’s a beautiful delay with a unique character.
