Eventide has maxed out the H9 Standard and Core multi-FX processor series to the H9 Max, with all algorithms included at no extra cost.
The H9 from the American company Eventide is one of the most popular multi-effects pedals. It can be found in countless studios and live sets, also often in conjunction with synthesizers.
Until recently, the H9 pedal was available in different versions: Standard, Core, and Max. The difference lay in the number of algorithms. That’s now over. Eventide has maxed out all registered H9 users the H9 Max upgrade for free.
Eventide H9
The H9 processor is based on a platform on which the company has continuously released new algorithms in the past. The incentive for the Max version was: pay more and get all the algorithms.
Eventide is now ending this practice for the H9 series and making all registers available in the Max version. Now, every H9 users, wether Standard or Core, is an H9 Max and can access the complete library of 52 algorithms at no additional cost.
The important thing to note is that your H9 must be officially registered. Simply connect your pedal to the H9 Control, go to settings, and select “Sync Algorithms on H9 with Server” to access the complete H9 Max library. That’s all.
For people who have only had the entry-level version so far, this is a great improvement.
First Impression
This is a great move by Eventide for H9 customers after the release of the H9 generation 2.
The new Eventide maxed out offer for H9 Core and Standard users is now available for free.

I recently got a (beat up but functional) h9 core off ebay for $275 and can confirm I could unlock all the algos. Eventide could’ve easily put a price on this upgrade but doing it for free is remarkable.
Such things as this, to me, feel like something new can be expected to be in the horizon soon.
Hah, didn’t read the article after this one yet. 😅
