Native Instruments Komplete 26: software bundle refresh with Absynth 6 and more

Superbooth 2026: Native Instruments Komplete 26 is the next version of its software bundle, featuring Absynth 6 Synthesizer and other new titles.

One of the longest-running software bundles is undoubtedly Native Instruments Komplete. The first version was released in 2003. It bundles a multitude of powerful synthesizers, virtual instruments, effects, sound libraries, and more.

Ahead of Superbooth 2026, Native Instruments has released Komplete 26, a major refresh of its popular software bundle with many new additions across all versions.

Komplete is entering its next phase. You may have already noticed. Native Instruments is following Apple and others, and now uses the year as the model number. Instead of Komplete 16, it’s now Native Instruments Komplete 26. 

Does this mean that Komplete will receive an update every year? Will we see Komplete 27 next year? Komplete 15 was released in September 2024, so not quite two years ago.

According to the developers, Komplete 26 extends your creative palette with over 190 instruments and effects, over 150 expansion sound packs, and more than 180.000 sounds. But that’s only if you buy the Collector’s Edition.

Komplete 26 is available again in four versions: Select, Standard, Ultimate, and Collector’s Edition. Right off the bat, some good news for people who want to update. The updated prices have been reduced. 

Standard is now $149/149€ (50€ less), Ultimate is $299/299€ (100€ less), and Collector’s Edition is $399/399€ (100€ less). 

The burning question is: what’s new in Komplete 26? Well, the new additions are all known. There’s no new explicit release for Komplete 26. However, the bundles vary considerably.

What’s New In The Komplete 26 Bundles

If you want to go all-in, you still can’t avoid the Native Instruments Komplete 26 Collector’s Edition, which brings 69 new instruments and effects to the bundle. 

The highlight is certainly the Absynth 6 Synthesizer plugin or the Kontakt 8 libraries Circular and London Contemporary Orchestra Strings. Also onboard are new iZotope releases, including the FXEQ multi-FX plugin and some new tools from Brainworx.

There is slightly less new content for the Ultimate and Standard versions. In Komplete 26 Ultimate, you get 150+ instruments and effects plugins and over 100 expansions.

Native Instruments Komplete 26 First Impression & Availability 

At first glance, a solid update for the Komplete bundle. The update is particularly interesting for all Komplete users who have been waiting for the addition of Absynth 6. That moment has now arrived.

It’s also good that the iZotope FX EQ is included everywhere, but otherwise, the focus is on libraries. Major highlight moments associated with Komplete versions from the very past are also rather lacking this year.

Native Instruments Komplete 26 is available now in four versions: Select ($99),  Standard ($549), Ultimate ($1249), and Collector Edition ($1949).

Updates are available for Komplete 15 users and onwards: Standard ($149), Ultimate ($299), and Collector’s Edition ($399). Additional loyalty discounts are available to customers who have purchased products that are now part of Komplete 26.
