Superbooth 2026: Instruo Íre is a new, versatile interface module that brings the outside world into your Eurorack modular system.
Modular synthesis is a huge playground for sound design. You don’t have to limit yourself to oscillators as a sound source. With an interface module, you can bring external signals like guitars or other synthesizers into the modular world.
For Superbooth 2026, Instruo has announced an all-new versatile audio interface module called Íre.
Instruo Íre
Íre is a new Eurorack interface module designed as your gateway to bringing the outside world into your Eurorack system. According to Istruo, the Íre was part of an 8-year development cycle.
Interface modules allow external audio signals to be brought into the Eurorack system regardless of their levels.
Íre brings all possible electronic instrument signals in your rack, including microphones, electric instruments, and line-level sources with color and clarity.
At its core, íre features a hybrid circuit with a high-quality 6070-style FET preamp architecture for instrument- and line-level sources, and a transformer input design for microphones.
The module has a combo jack input with phantom power, a -20dB pad, and a high-pass filter to roll off the bottom end. It ensures pristine gain staging and rumble elimination for any source, say the developers.
Additionally, it offers a built-in envelope follower with AR stages and a comparator. It allows you to transform incoming audio into dynamic control signals, unlocking compelling ways to interact with your Eurorack Synthesizer.
First Impression
An interface module was one of the first modules I bought for my Eurorack system because it opened up new patching options. This new Instruo module looks like a quality interface module.
The option to connect guitars and microphones and integrate them into the Eurorack is particularly appealing. Plus, the envelope follower and comparator are neat additions.
Instruo Íre will be available soon
