Superbooth 2026: Erica Synths has released the Resonant Filterbank, a desktop stereo analog filterbank with digital control.
In mid-March, Erica Synths showcased the desktop stereo version of the Resonant Filterbank module at the London Synth Pedal Expo. Erica Synths founder Girts Ozolins briefly showed the device in an Instagram story.
At Superbooth 2026, Erica Synths officially released it and revealed all the details.
Erica Synths Resonant Filterbank
Resonant Filterbank is a new desktop analog stereo filterbank designed for performance and studio-friendly FX. As mentioned back in March, this is the Erica Synths Resonance Filterbank module in desktop form.
It’s not just that; it’s also the stereo version with extras. It consists of 10 bandpass filters under digital control and the following frequencies: 29 Hz, 61 Hz, 115 Hz, 218 Hz, 411 Hz, 777 Hz, 1.5 kHz, 2.8 kHz, 5.2 kHz, 11 kHz. And a slope of 17 dB/decade.
The engine offers advanced filter configuration modes that turn bandpass filters into a sort of morphing filter. There are also spectral analyzer and dynamic spectral compressor modes.
Talking of control. Each band features a dedicated fader that gives your hands-control over the boost or cut. This allows you to play with the bandpass filters hands-on, making it perfect for live performances. Alternatively, there are internal tools that allow you to animate everything.
Modulating Bandpass Filters
Yes, there is internal modulation, and it’s not insignificant. The desktop version of the Erica Synths Resonant Filterbank features 20 independent LFOs and 20 independent envelope followers.
These can be used to animate individual bands or other parameters. Without it, it’s a traditional filterbank; with the modulators, you can go far beyond that and explore unique filtering FX. It’s even possible to use it as an experimental sound generator for no-input-like setups at high resonance.
The hardware has an analog gain stage that boosts incoming signals up to +24dB, allowing you to use it with guitars and pretty much any other instruments. Yes, synths, or drum machines as well.
Settings can be stored in recallable snapshots and presets. MIDI control is also available with MIDI CC support, allowing you to record fader movements in your DAW.
On the back side, you have a power supply input, an ON/OFF switch, L&R input, and output connectivity on 6.3mm jacks, 5-pin MIDI In and Thru connectivity, and a USB-C port. CV connectivity is missing, just like with the module version.
First Impression
Modern stereo analog filter banks are rare these days. Even rarer are those that integrate digital control. Therefore, I’m pleased to see that Erica Synths has taken this step and is offering it as a desktop application.
Erica Synths Resonant Filterbank is available now for $859/769€.

This coming weekend is packed with synthesizer events in the UK. Besides the Pro Synth Network Synth South West on Saturday, the London Synth Pedal Expo is also entering its next round.
Erica Synths will also be present, and Girts Ozolins, the founder, announced a new product ahead of the event via Instagram story: the Resonant Filterbank module (2024) as a desktop unit.
Erica Synths Resonant Filterbank Desktop Unit
The new Resonant Filterbank is based on the Eurorack module of the same name. It brings the module’s functionality to a standalone desktop unit.
It has a stereo ten-band analog filterbank with digital control over each band’s boost or cut. Unlike the module, the Erica Synths Filterbank desktop lets you control each band individually with a dedicated slider. To get this in the module, you need the extra expander module, which gives knob control.
The desktop unit features the same complex control configurations, turning the filterbank into a unique multimode filter and, with various resonance settings, into an instrument in its own right.

The module lacks the extensive CV options of the desktop unit. To offer options similar to the desktop unit, Erica Synths has incorporated a modulation engine into the filter bank.
How extensive this is is unknown; however, the hardware has labels for macro, envelope mod, and LFO, suggesting it has LFOs, envelopes, etc. It also features a bigger screen than the 20HP and more control elements, making it more hands-on.
All details will follow soon. It’s great that they’re now putting this into a desktop unit. It’s a very niche product, but great to see an analog filterbank in this format.
Erica Synths Resonant Filterbank desktop unit will be showcased at the London Synth & Pedal Expo 2026. Price and availability TBA.

Was LITERAL planning a small effects rack last night with this and Data Bender as the two biggest modules. I was lamenting that Resonant Filterbank isn’t yet a desktop module like some of their delays, reverbs, and filters.
driving me nuts, this reminds me of an analog filterbank that I had back in the early 2000’s… I cannot remember the name of it. Rare as heck, pricy at the time. looked just like this with faders..sounded incredible.
About time there was some better EQ/filter pedals.
Erica Synths keep making these awesome boxes like this and the Zen Delay whose perfect role is to warm up the sound of budget digital synths, but they are too nice and so too expensive! If you can afford to spend close to a grand for a pedal chances are you already have high end gear that doesn’t need them to sound better.
true.. Wish i Had that much Money
Wait… This has “a slope of 17 dB/decade”?! That’s a seriously glacial release time.
