UVI Vintage Vault 5 is the fifth version of its sample-based virtual synth instruments, featuring the all-new Vintage Casio Legacy.
For many years, the French developers at UVI have pursued a different approach to synthesizers. Instead of emulating vintage synths down to the last detail, they multi-sample vintage synths and build new hybrid instruments from them.
After so many years, the portfolio has reached an impressive size. With the new Vintage Vault 5, UVI updates its collection with all recent synth libraries, plus there is a new instrument release to celebrate it, the Vintage Casio Legacy.
UVI Vintage Vault 5
Vintage Vault 5 continues the popular virtual instrument collection, bringing it into 2026. The new Vintage Vault 5 features 43 UVI instruments, spanning five decades of electronic sound with synthesizers and drum machines.
You can find a large selection of multi-sampled vintage analog synths, for example, from early polyphonic analog synths with their warm, evolving sound.
Also included are virtual synth instruments based on recordings of crisp digital synths from the ’80s and ’90s, such as various legendary FM synths.
Vintage Vault 5 also includes obscure prototype synths that went on to shape synth history, along with various sampled drum machine classics. UVI describes it as more than a bundle.
For them, it’s a machine exploration, a curated collection of the most iconic, rare, and influential synthesizers and drum machines ever made.
It’s important to remember that each of these instruments is multi-sample-based and not a 100% synthesis-based emulation. They are hybrid instruments consisting of samples and synthesis.
The new Vintage Vault 5 features six new virtual instruments:
- Vintage Casio Legacy: a collection of six instruments made in collaboration with CASIO
- HX-20: a modern instrument that reimagines the KORG MS-20
- HX-Oddy: a modern instrument that reimagines the ARP Odyssey
- KAWAI Vintage Legacy: a collection of five instruments based on KAWAI synthesizers
- Mission 6: a virtual instrument based on a multi-sampled Alesis Andromeda
- PX Guitar Syn: a virtual instrument based on the GS-500 guitar and GR-500 synth engines from 1977
- PX WaveFrame: a modern take on the iconic WaveFrame AudioFrame
In numbers, it offers 43 UVI products with 281GB of sound, and 18877 presets made from 1.113.019 samples recorded at 88.2 kHz.
The user gets an absurd number of ready-to-use vintage synth sounds that can be used in productions without much tweaking. In case a sound doesn’t fit, you can tweak with various parameters.
Those who want to go further can use UVI Falcon 2026 to combine instruments as desired and design powerful multi-layered instruments.
Vintage Casio Legacy
The new Vintage Casio Legacy is a new 6-instrument suite in close collaboration with CASIO Computer Co., Ltd. Their mission is to preserve and modernize six of Casio’s most distinct synthesizers and drum machines through deep, real-hardware sampling.
Developed in close collaboration with Casio and officially approved by CASIO Computer Co., Ltd., the collection represents one of the most thorough efforts ever undertaken to document these instruments in software form.
Like previous UVI instruments, these six libraries are based on a mix of deep hardware multi-sampling and synthesis powered by the Falcon 2026 engine.
According to UVI, every instrument in the suite was recorded through meticulous, multi-sampled sessions designed to capture not just the sound of each mode, but their behavior; the tonal variation between chorus states, the unique voicing of each synthesis architecture, and more.
Vintage Casio Legacy brings together six instruments, each representing a distinct chapter of Casio’s synthesis history. In this, you can find:
- CZ based on the flagship CZ-1,
- FZ: the cult 16-sample
- VZ, the interactive phase distortion,
- HZ based on the Casio CZ-600 and its spectrum dynamic synthesis
- CTK: the integrated cross-sound architecture (iXA) found in the CTK-1000
- RZ: drum engine inspired by the RZ-1 and expanded with additional Casio-sourced material
As a bonus, it also features the Multi mode that unifies the collection into a single groove-oriented workstation.
Each instrument comes packed with ready-to-use presets that can be modified with classic synth features, including a filter, two envelopes (filter, amp), LFO, pitch control, velocity, and a built-in multi-FX suite.
Further, each instrument features an advanced arpeggiator/sequencer with creative features like a phrasor, scale quantizer, repeat, and more.
The new Vintage Casio Legacy ships with over 700 ready-to-use presets and 1800+ layers crafted from scratch.
First Impression
At first glance, a nice upgrade to the Vintage Vault 4, which was released in 2022. The highlight is undoubtedly the new Vintage Casio Legacy collection.
I appreciate that UVI remains true to its roots and continues to pursue this unique hybrid approach compared to other companies, providing an alternative to classic emulations. And more content for Falcon 2026 is always welcome.

I think it depends how many UVI products you have bought, my upgrade price is 149.
ive bought prob 90% of their product. Still have 299€ showing and i’m connected to my account. I’ll see tomorrow. Thank you
i own Vintage Vault 5, Falcon, almost all FX plugins and many other plugins. my update price is 199
very strange calculation
because Falcon and the FX plugins don’t count. Just the instrumens you already have that are part of the bundle.
I have VV4 and see absolutely no reason to upgrade. There is already an unmanageable amount of synths and presets. Having a ton more does not provide value. What UVI urgently needs to invest in is the terribly buggy and crippled UVI Workstation. They recently introduced version 4 after 8 years or so of version 3. This update tries to be Komplete Kontrol, but it only goes halfway and is totally sluggish and convoluted. it’s a terrible update. We need to be able to navigate this wealth of sounds easily – give us better navigation, keyboard shortcuts support (can’t believe we still have to use the mouse to switch to next/prev preset!), faster performance, and a better way to browse preset categories across libraries. Better yet, give us full NKS support so we can use it natively in Komplete Kontrol which already has all these features and is a simply better presets player. Actually, give us both options.
