Temecula DSP MCV-I is a new free reverb plugin for macOS and Windows that emulates the Alesis Microverb hardware unit.
In recent months, Temecula DSP has released several classic hardware effects as plugins. The Ensoniq DP/4 generated particularly strong interest. Recently, the developer published a free emulation of the Alesis MidiVerb II.
Now, another effect from the same company is available. Temecula DSP has released the MCV-I, a free emulation of the Alesis Microverb reverb processor.
Temecula DSP MCV-I
MCV-I is an emulation of the Alesis Microverb I hardware reverb processor from 1989. The Temecula DSP MCV-I brings the smaller, cheaper Microverb I, with its grittier, lo-fi sound, to your DAW.
Like the original, the MCV-I features 16 presets, including six small, seven large, two gate, and reverse reverb. They can be tweaked with a few controls: input, mix, output, and a new EQ knob
The download now includes both Alesis reverb plugins, so the MCV-I and the MDV-II, offering a wider range of features. You get all 100 original factory programs, organized into 7 categories: reverbs, gates, reverse, flanger, chorus, delay, and EFX.
First Impression
So, we have another Alesis reverb rack unit available as a free plugin. I can’t say how authentic it is, as I haven’t used any of these units.
The fact that Vibe Coding was used here always leaves a slightly bad taste in my mouth, as I prefer traditional software coding. But okay, it’s a free download, so you can’t really go wrong.
Temecula DSP MCV-I is available for free download now. It runs as a VST, AU, and AAX plugin on macOS (native Apple Silicon + Intel) and Windows.

Great stuff, Love it…
Btw; If you download the latest version of free Midiverb, Microverb is included in one installation file.
Love it 🙂
